Originally from Oakfield, NY, Teri has been a staff member at Cheektowaga since 1978. A licensed veterinary technician, she attended SUNY Brockport and received a B.S. Degree in Physical Education.Along with her certificate in veterinary technology, Teri also earned an Associates Degree in Nursing as well as her practical nursing license from Erie Community College.
Teri enjoys all kinds of sports and physical activities. While attending college, she placed third in the state for the one meter springboard diving event. As a member of the gymnastics team, she placed sixth in the state for vaulting.
Teri is married to Kevin and they have 2 boys named Tyler and Bill. Along with playing her guitar, dancing and downhill skiing, she also enjoys spending leisure time with her 2 cats, Tiki and Ozzy.
Rose
A graduate of the State University of New York, Dehli, Rose has been working with animals for thirty years and came to Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital back in the early 1980s. It’s no surprise then that she hosts several pets at her home, including two black Labs, Streak and Karlie, three cats, Missy, Clark and Amber, an Anole lizard named Hulk and four white rats. But that’s not all! As one of her hobbies, Rose also keeps a goldfish pond inhabited by six happy goldfish. Her non-animal related interests include gardening and cross-country skiing.
While tending to her pets is important, Rose’s biggest responsibilty is her family. She is married and has three children, Chris, Sara and Nicholas.
Kristy
Hailing from West Seneca, Kristy earned her Associates Degree in Science at Medaille College and has been working full-time at Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital since the summer of 2005.
At home, Kristy lives with five cats, two ferrets and a rabbit. Owning her own rabbit has given Kristy a special professional interest on which she’ll be focusing in the future.
Leigh
Originally from Cheektowaga, Leigh majored in Veterinary Technology at Medaille College, graduating as a the Dean’s List student in 1998 with an Associate’s Degree in Science. Leigh also received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 2003, and then completed her Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Buffalo State College in 2005.
Leigh has worked at Cheektowaga Veterinary Hopsital since the mid 1990s. At home, Leigh is kept company by her cat, Oreo.
Pam
Born and raised locally, Pam attended Medaille College where she received her Associate's Degree in Science / Veterinary Technology. A licensed veterinary technician, Pam has been employed at Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital since 1989.
Pam spends most of her leisure time with her husband Ray, her dog Alex, and her cat Oliver.
Jim
Jim is originally from the area, born and raised in West Seneca and a graduate of West Seneca High School. Since earning his Associate’s Degree in Science from Medaille College in 1995, Jim has been a full-time licensed veterinary technician at Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital, finding his niche in surgery.
Outside the hospital, Jim never misses a Sabres game… that is, unless he is hunting, fishing, bowling or spending time with his dog, Belle.
Melissa
Having received an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology from Medaille College in 2000, Melissa has been employed as a veterinary technician at Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital since 2000, but has been employed with the hospital since 1998. Melissa’s ties to Medaille remain strong as she participates in the College’s Preceptorship program, allowing students to shadow her while at work.
When not out playing soccer, volleyball or working out, Melissa likes to spend time with her four cats: Meeko, Pepe, Zoe and Carlton.
