Dental disease is one of the most common diseases we encounter in Veterinary Medicine. Regular dental care is essential for dental health.

Dental disease is not only painful for our pets but it can lead to as variety of other problems including

  • infections
  • heart disease
  • kidney disease

Signs of dental disease include:

  • decreased appetite
  • difficulty chewing
  • weight loss
  • mouth odor
  • pain

However, remember that most dental disease actually occurs under the gum line. That is why dental radiographs are such a critical part of assessing the degree of dental disease that a pet has.

Schedule an appointment to have your pet examined and to schedule a dental cleaning.
